Ninja Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer 7.6L (DZ300UK)
Best for: Families
One of the most popular air fryers in Ireland and the UK for good reason: two independent drawers make full dinners easy. If you cook for 3–6 people and have the counter space, this is the one to get on offer.
What we like
- Two drawers, each with its own time and temperature
- Sync and match buttons so both finish together
- Very fast with frozen food on Max Crisp
- Dishwasher-safe drawers and crisper plates
Watch out for
- Big and wide, needs a lot of counter space
- You need to shake food halfway (no stirring paddle)
- Some plastic parts feel less premium

Garmin Forerunner 165 GPS Running Smartwatch
Best for: New runners
The best first “proper” running watch for most people: a gorgeous screen, accurate GPS and Garmin’s training features at a much lower price than the premium models.
What we like
- Bright AMOLED touchscreen with buttons
- Accurate built-in GPS
- About 11 days battery as a smartwatch
- Adaptive daily workouts and Garmin Coach plans
Watch out for
- No music storage on this version
- Fewer advanced metrics than the Forerunner 265
- Plastic case

Sony WH-CH720N Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones
Best for: Commuters
Comfortable, light and easy to wear all day, with noise cancelling that handles buses, trains and offices well. Not flagship-level, but excellent value on offer.
What we like
- Very light and comfortable
- Effective noise cancelling for the price
- Around 35 hours of battery with ANC on
- Multipoint: connect phone and laptop at once
Watch out for
- Plastic build feels budget
- Don’t fold flat for travel
- No LDAC hi-res codec

LEGO Nintendo Game Boy 72046 Display Model
Best for: Retro gamers
A brilliant nostalgic gift for anyone who grew up with a Game Boy. Fun to build and spot-on in detail, though not a big build for the price.
What we like
- Near 1:1 scale and very accurate
- Two brick-built cartridges (Zelda and Super Mario Land)
- Swappable lenticular screens
- Satisfying, clever build
Watch out for
- Pricey for 421 pieces
- Cartridge labels are stickers
- A bit fragile in places

LEGO Star Wars 75375 Millennium Falcon (921 pieces)
Best for: Star Wars fans
A beautiful, accurate display model that looks great on a shelf. At full price it feels small for the money, so it’s best bought on offer, like now.
What we like
- Accurate shape and lots of detail
- Angled display stand with nameplate
- Sturdy enough to handle
- Hidden tiny crew figures inside
Watch out for
- Small for the full price
- Some gaps around the cockpit
- No minifigures

Soundcore by Anker Q30 Noise Cancelling Headphones
Best for: Budget pick
Huge battery and solid noise cancelling for very little money. Turn the bass down in the app and they’re a brilliant budget pick.

- 3 noise-cancelling modes
- App with 8-band EQ
- Comfortable memory-foam earcups

BaByliss Super Power 2400W Hair Dryer (5240U)
Best for: Thick or long hair
A powerful, long-lasting dryer with a salon-style AC motor and a 5-year warranty. A safe pick for thick or long hair, though it’s heavier than compact dryers.
What we like

- Ionic frizz control
- 3 heat, 2 speed settings plus cold shot
- 5-year warranty and long 2.5 m cord

De’Longhi Stilosa EC260 Manual Espresso Machine
Best for: Espresso beginners
A great first espresso machine if you want to find out whether home espresso is for you. It’s forgiving and compact, but coffee enthusiasts will outgrow it.
What we like
- Real 15-bar pump espresso for little money
- Forgiving baskets make crema easy
- Steam wand for lattes and cappuccinos
- Compact and simple to use

Remington Shine Therapy Ionic Hair Dryer (D5216)
Best for: Budget pick
A great budget dryer: light, quick and comes with both a diffuser and a concentrator. It lacks the polish of pricier dryers, but for the money it’s hard to fault.
What we like
- Light and comfortable to hold
- Fast drying for the price
- Diffuser and concentrator included
- Shiny, frizz-free results
Watch out for
- Fairly loud
- Short 1.8 m cord
- Weak cool shot, and the top heat is very hot

Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS Pod Coffee Machine (De’Longhi)
Best for: Easy gift
Cheap, tiny and very easy to use. Pods cost more per cup than ground coffee, but for a simple gift or a small kitchen it’s hard to beat at this price.
What we like
- Very compact
- Simple one-lever operation
- Hot and cold drinks, wide pod choice
- No mess, easy to clean
Watch out for
- Pods cost more than ground coffee
- Manual lever: you stop the flow yourself
- Noisy while brewing
