Black Friday 2026 in Ireland: Dates, Your Rights and How to Spot a Real Deal

Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November, but the best deals often appear earlier and sell out fast. A bit of preparation now means you buy what you actually need, at a genuinely lower price.

1. Make a list, with a budget

Write down what you need, who it’s for and the most you want to spend. Black Friday is designed to make you buy on impulse; a list keeps you in control.

2. Check today’s prices now

Note the current price of the things on your list. If the “Black Friday price” isn’t lower than what you saw in early November, it isn’t a deal.

3. Understand “was” prices

In Ireland, when a shop announces a price reduction, the “was” price should be the lowest price it charged in the previous 30 days. An RRP is not the same thing. Our Black Friday guide explains this in more detail.

4. Compare Irish shops

Check Amazon.ie and Irish stores like Currys and Harvey Norman. The same product is often cheaper in one shop, and delivery times can differ.

5. Watch out for UK sellers

If you buy from a UK website, customs charges or slower delivery can apply. See Amazon.ie vs Amazon.co.uk for what Irish shoppers need to know.

6. Check returns and Christmas returns windows

Many shops extend their returns window for Christmas. Check the date on your order, especially for gifts.

7. Check delivery dates

Black Friday orders can take longer than usual. For Christmas gifts, order well before the shops’ last delivery dates.

8. Read reviews, not just the discount

A big discount on a poor product is still a poor buy. Every deal on DealDepot has honest pros and cons and links the independent review it’s based on.

9. Stay safe online

  • Only buy from websites you know, and type the address yourself if you’re unsure.
  • Be careful with “too good to be true” deals on social media.
  • Paying by credit or debit card can give you extra protection if something goes wrong.

10. Get the deals as they drop

Bookmark our Black Friday deals page, which we update every day of Black Friday week, and join our Telegram group to get the best deals as soon as we find them.
