Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data DealDepot.ie collects, why, and your rights. In short: we collect very little, we never sell your data, and you can contact us any time.

Who we are

DealDepot.ie is run by Edgars Keiselis, a sole trader based in Ireland, trading as DealDepot.ie. For this policy, we are the “data controller”. Postal address: 3 Belfry Downs, Dublin 24, D24 TD72, Ireland. Contact: hello@dealdepot.ie.

What we collect and why

• If you email us: your name, email address and message, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep these emails for up to 2 years, then delete them.
• Basic server logs: our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security. These logs are kept for a short period by the host.
• Compare list: if you use “Compare”, your chosen products are saved only in your own browser. We never receive it.

Analytics (only with your consent): if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and deals people find useful, for example how many people visited a page and which deal buttons were clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and Google processes this data on our behalf. We have turned off Google’s advertising features, and we do not use the data to identify you. Legal basis: your consent. If you click “No thanks”, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

We do not use advertising trackers or user accounts on DealDepot.ie.

Affiliate links

When you click a deal and go to a store such as Amazon.ie, that store (or an affiliate network like Amazon Associates or Awin) records the referral on its own website so we can earn a commission. We receive sales reports from them, but these do not identify you. The store’s own privacy policy applies to anything you do on its website. See our Cookie Policy and How we make money.

Telegram and social media

If you join our Telegram channel or follow us on TikTok, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. We can see public information such as subscriber counts, but not your private details.

Who we share data with

• Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website and emails on our behalf.
• Our email provider, to send and receive email.
• Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Authorities, only if the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@dealdepot.ie and we will reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.

Children

DealDepot.ie is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
