Streaming subscriptions creep up. A couple of video services plus music can easily pass €40 a month, and most people don’t watch all of them every month. This guide compares the main TV, film and music streaming plans in Ireland on price, minimum term and what you actually get, with simple ways to pay less.
Prices checked on each service’s own Irish website on 7 November 2026 and include VAT. Prices change, so always confirm the final price before you sign up.
The short version
- Cheapest way into big-name TV: NOW Entertainment at €5.99 a month or Disney+ Standard with Ads at €7.99, but both have a 6-month minimum term and then rise to €8.99.
- Netflix: €11.99 for Basic (HD on one screen), €18.99 for Standard or €25.99 for Premium 4K. No contract, so you can stop and restart any month.
- Music: Spotify Premium is €12.99 a month, or €6.99 for students. YouTube Premium (€15.99) also removes ads from YouTube itself.
- Biggest saving: don’t keep everything running. Subscribe to one or two services at a time and rotate them.

Apple users can also bundle services with Apple One, which starts at €19.95 a month and includes Apple TV and Apple Music (Apple Ireland).
How to pay less for streaming
Rotate instead of stacking
Most plans can be cancelled any month. Pick one or two services, watch what you want, cancel, and move on to the next. Over a year, rotating Netflix Standard and Disney+ Standard instead of keeping both can save you well over €100.
Watch the minimum terms
The cheapest intro prices (NOW Entertainment, Disney+ and NOW Sports) come with a minimum term of 6 or 12 months, and the price goes up after it. Put a reminder in your calendar for the month the price changes.
Use student and family plans
Spotify Student is €6.99 and YouTube Premium Student is €10.99. If two or more people at the same address use the same service, Duo and Family plans usually work out cheaper per person than separate accounts.
Check what you already get free
New Apple devices often come with 3 months of Apple TV, and some mobile and broadband plans include a streaming service. Check your bill before you pay twice for the same thing.
Questions people ask
Can I share Netflix with someone who doesn’t live with me?
Not on your own plan. Netflix accounts are for one household, but on Standard and Premium you can add an “extra member” who lives elsewhere for €6.99 a month.
Do I have to pay for the whole minimum term if I cancel early?
With NOW and Disney+ intro offers you can cancel auto-renewal at any time, but the cancellation only takes effect after the minimum term ends. Read the terms before you sign up.
